Mahatma Gandhi College, Chalantapara was established on 10th September, 1995 through the vision, dedication and collective effort of education-loving people of the locality. Named after the Father of the Nation, the college has grown into an important higher education institution for learners from Bongaigaon and neighbouring areas, especially students from rural and socio-economically diverse backgrounds.
